Dokter Angka terlintas selalu mengarah kepada nama jalan di pusak Kota Purwokerto, jalur utama yang terdapat fasilitas umum seperti kuliner, hotel, sekolah hingga rumah sakit. Proses pelebaran jalan Dr. Angka sempat menuai kontroversi karena harus menebang sederatan pohon besar dan mengambil tanah penduduk di pinggir jalan.
Lantas siapakah Angka? Angka merupakan singkatan dari Anggoro Kasih (Selasa Kliwon), hari kelahirannya. Lahir pada tanggal 13 Desember 1887 di Banjarnegara, Jawa Tengah. Ayahnya bernama Prodjodiwirjo, asisten wedana (camat) di Madukara, Banjarnegara.
Pada masa anak-anak Angka dititipkan pada orang tua ibunya, yaitu eyang R. Santadiredja, patih di Banyumas. Ia bersekolah di Holland Indische School (HIS) selama tujuh tahun, kemudian melanjutkan di Hoogere Burger School (HBS) selama lima tahun. Meneruskan ke sekolah kedokteran Bumiputra STOVIA pada tahun 1904. Angka lulus STOVIA tahun 1912 dengan predikat Cum Laude. Sebagai dokter, Angka pernah ditugaskan sebagai dokter pemerintah di Semarang, Sawahlunto, Bogor, Purbalingga, Brebes, Pemalang, Kendal, Banyumas, dan Purwokerto. Pada 1935 ia menangani pemberantasan penyakit frambosia di Pemalang. Pada 1954 menangani penyakit malaria di Cilacap bersama UNICEF.
Angka menikah dengan R.A. Soedjiah dan dikaruniai tujuh anak, yaitu Soeprapti, Soekartini, Achmad Soeprapto, Maryani, Soeparti, Soejati, dan Soeharti. Cucunya berjumlah 14 orang. Semasa hidupnya, dokter Angka mengabdikan dirinya sebagai dokter dan pendidik. Dalam usia 85 tahun dokter Angka masih tetap melakukan tugas kemanusiaan.
Setelah pensiun, dokter Angka dan beberapa dokter di Purwokerto mendirikan Apotek Dwiwarna (Oktober 1949). Lokasinya di Jalan Jend. Gatot Soebroto 36, Purwokerto.
Dokter Angka meninggal di Purwokerto pada 1975 dalam usia 88 tahun. Ia dimakamkan di Pesarean Keluarga Keboetoeh Sokaraja. Nama dokter Angka kemudian diabadikan sebagai nama jalan yang melintasi rumah sakit lama di Purwokerto.
